A Public IRC chat room on Omni

At this point, I was wondering if people would like a webbased public chat room on this site? A place for those that visit can actually talk versus just the forums. Anyone actually interested in this?

Sure? Why not? But why web based? Why not a public IRC room? Or does that already exist and I'm not aware of it...

There was a quasi public IRC room, but as people do, kiddies abused it, so that is no longer available.

These kiddies' actions are exactly why to have this webbased...security. I can greatly limit and therefore keep secure, what someone can do on the IRC web client. Admittedly, I'm sure someone will find a way to abuse the public web chat, but it will exist so long as it isn't abused and there is an interest beyond that.

Well, it's one of those things that people have to hang out there or else it doesn't work too well. It's been up a long time, but I guess perhaps you might want to PM someone if you want to talk to them or something and set a time.
