App Progress

Hey guys,

I was just curious as to how the application reviews are progressing. From what I remember training was slotted to start for new students around about now-ish.

Any word on where the process is at?

I think at this point everyone has gotten their letters, in or out. I would like to welcome the new OmniCyber students. Out of 31 applications, Bob_stew and Syntax made the cut. It shouldn't be another year before new students are accepted this time however, so the competition shouldn't be as steep. I would say there is a distinct possiblity of having openings again in 3-4 months at this point, which means interviews would start up earlier than that.

So, just out of curiosity (again), was my interview that bad I didn't even warrant a "Better luck next time" letter? =)

I think what happened is that I sent out letters to everyone but the select few we were still debating on, and there was a miscommunication between Becky and I about who got letters. I'll double check, though. ^_^ Apologies in advance.

Nah, no worries. We had it narrowed down quite a bit at that point, out of quite a few applicants- please, don't take it personally. ^^ Good luck to you next time as well.

You applied after processing for this wave had begun, if I'm not mistaken, so your application was not considered. It will be in the next wave.

Actually that's a really good question. Probably not for another few months to get things started again, but I'd have to talk to the head of cyber and see when she thinks it'll be appropriate to start the interviews up again. Probably sooner than later.
