We've secretly replaced....We've secretly replaced the Omnimancer's normal server with a newer cooler server. Lets see if they notice....

Actually, it would have been nice to be gone longer... oh well. 2 weeks will have to do.
The speed increase is DEFINITELY good. -Ogre
I presume it's noticable then to you. I know it's noticable to me. It went from like 8-10 seconds to update to 3-4. That works for me!
As far as specs go, it went from a: A3000 040 @ 33 Mhz w/ 64 MB RAM and a 1 GB OS drive and a 9 GB OLD Barracuda drive as the web drive. The new one is: A4000 060 @ 50 Mhz/604e PPC @ 180 Mhz (Dual CPU board) w/ 128 MB RAM and a 9 GB Barracuda(rev 3) OS Drive and a 18 GB 10k RPM Cheetah as the webdrive. It's not really using the PPC half for this stuff yet. I would need to recompile apache(or put OS4 on it), which I might do. That should see another 3x increase or more. It's Damien's box since he wasn't doing anything with it. It's even got a Voodoo3 in there as it's video card (what a hack job!)
Ah, I was wondering about that... Our web server has a 10k cheetah... damn... Though they are becoming more common. BTW, I installed the 15k Cheetah I got for bucks, and it works.
